And finally, the day has come!
My inflatable SUP board arrived today.
Not even in the mail, but bought in a store, by favoritegymbuddy.
He bought it for me when it was on special offer on monday (he'll get the money back of course), and delivered it when he passed by my place today .
Totally great.
It's the Aqua Marina Fusion iSUP.
I chose this one becauses I really want to take Lukas with me on the board, and Lukas weighs 40kg, and together with my 60kg I needed a bigger and more stable board.
The Fusion should handle 140kg.
The board measures 330cm x 75cm and Lukas looks like a puppy on it!
well at least there is enough space for him on the board.
I really hope he will like it also when it's on the water...
The Fusion is also thicker then some of the other boards from Aqua Marina, it's 15cm in thickness. I hope that will also contribute to better stability when Lukas is with me.
The black foam-like material on the top of the board covers a great part of the board, that's something I like about it. Also here, I was thinking about Lukas who will need some space to place his paws.
Towards the nose of the board there are four D-rings where an elastic cord is attached so you put some luggage beneath it.
We'll see about that later.
I am really excited.
I think if the weather is fine tomorrow, I will actually try it on the water!

SUP paddle
So, I'm all excited about trying SUP padling.
The Aqua Marina Fusion is already bought and should be delivered to me some day this week, so today I went and got a paddle.
There are so many different SUP paddles available that I had a hard time deciding which one to buy. I knew I wanted one I could transport i several pieces in the Aqua Marina transport bag. And it should be lightweight, the right size... but should I go for an expensive dual-tech, 2-in-1 paddle? Or a telescope one?
What about material, aluminum or carbon?
So - I decided to just try the paddle favoritegymbuddy had lying around at his place. It turned out, he didn't even remembered where it came from - since the paddle for his canoe was there together with the canoe...
Anyway I took a little hike up the valley, inspected the paddle and found it ok to start with.
About 150cm in length, that is 10cm below my height, I think it will be fine to start with, even though it's a little short.
But I will get started!
And that's great.
I won't have to order some paddle and wait for it to come in the mail...
Oh I am happy with it!
I had to fool around when I went to get the paddle. Favoritegymbuddy wasn't at home and the thought of carrying the paddle 3km through the woods back home was just too funny. And I was so happy!
